Sometimes I Hear Sirens
Sarah Blais’s Sometimes I Hear Sirens explores the intimate relationship between subjects Ana and Masha. The closeness of their bond is juxtaposed with the extensive spectrum of human emotion present in the archive of designer Kostas Murkudis. This project strives to demonstrate courage, happiness and freedom in the face of fragility and uncertainty.
“The images capture the aura of confidence and freedom in the intimacy that Ana and Masha share whilst depicting the fragility and vulnerability of love. A rumination on the physical manifestation of curiosity and intimacy.”
